ABOUT ME
Thank you for stopping by! I’m so glad you’re here. I look forward to getting to know you, but first, here’s a little background about me …

The ability to overcome challenges in my own life led me to the wonderful world of Psychology. I realized that if people had the right support during the difficult and trying times in their lives (and let’s face it, everyone has them), they would be able to overcome just about anything! That powerful concept was the springboard to my career in mental health.
I completed Doctoral studies in Clinical Psychology and have over sixteen years of experience in helping adults, children, and adolescents live the life they want to live. I have worked in a wide variety of settings such as schools, homes, clinics, non-profit organizations, and private practice. I specialize in the assessment and treatment of mood disorders, including depression, anxiety, and trauma related disorders including those suffering from posttraumatic stress disorder. Some of my other specialties include guiding people through difficult life adjustments such as breakups/divorce, career changes and stress management, maternal mental health counseling, behavior management and parent training, assertiveness training, and mindfulness and meditation-based therapy.
I care deeply about my clients’ well-being and my goal is to provide you all the tools you need in order to seize the day and learn how to tackle even the most traumatic circumstances. I will guide you every step of the way providing you the support you need to overcome life’s obstacles.
I am bilingual, fluently speaking English and Spanish, and have extensive experience in multi-cultural counseling.
